The 9th edition of ROOFCAMP was again well attended by the growing Web 2.0 community of startups, developers, innovators, and investors. Veteran Roofies and a good number of newcomers graced The Little Green Hub, Barefoot LLCs offices in the heart of Makati, to swap experiences, advice, and dreams of making the Philippines a hotbed of world class innovation.
Matthew Pontoles and the rest of the Barefoot team graciously hosted Roofcamp 9 by providing their geekchic co-working spaces and more than enough beer to lubricate all the inquiring minds in attendance.
The great folks at Ubertor, and their Micro.ph/one team made sure to provide Roofcamp with it’s first taste of professional video documentation, immortalizing the event for the rest of the web community. Micro.ph/one is on a mission to document and broadcast the velocity of the philippine tech startup scene to the world.
Brian Tan Seng recounted the 98Labs journey and how it was all starting to take shape for him and his team. Brian’s call to the Roofies? Continue the open and transparent sharing of information that will only spell the collective success of the philippine tech startup community.
Matthew Pontoles followed by giving us a glimpse of his startup journey which has brought him to the shores of the Philippines and has built his Manila based startup around a few island resort properties and a green-centric serviced office operation called The Little Green Hub.
Roofcamp #10 will be a big one (which is why we’re having it in October) and we’re planning to make it a whole day affair with multiple talks, speakers, and companies. You shouldn’t miss this one!
